2015-2018

Patrick and Eliot met during their studies at university. They were both researching the V2G space as part of a project, which consequently provided them with a lot of exposure into the industry. Part of the research involved speaking with EV drivers, which highlighted many of the everyday issues they faced with charging.

Patrick is a EV driver himself, and the points being raised reinforced his own frustrations, and so he and Eliot decided to create a user-friendly charging experience that was missing from the market.

Bonnet Ltd was officially born 👏

• We officially launched Bonnet in the UK
• December: We’re now a team of 7

2022

• We raised $5.5m in funding from renowned investors including Lightspeed, GV, and 20VC.
• May 2022: we hit 20k charging locations and 50k charging points
• June 2022: we’re focusing on our European growth with people on the ground in Germany, Spain and France
• October 2022: launched Bonnet Boosts
• December 2022: we’re now a team of 30!

2023

• March 2023: Our crowdfunding campaign went live, alongside £3m of existing investors
• March 2023: Patrick and Eliot made it onto the Forbes 30 under 30 list
• April 2023: we now have 250k charge points on Bonnet
